Abstract

This research is a case study on the perception of students, teachers, directors and family members about school coexistence in a federal technological high school in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The objective was to know how school coexistence is perceived through three observation spaces: classroom/course, the school space, and the socio-communitary space. It was carried out with a mixed methodological approach through individual and group interviews, and with a questionnaire. The analysis of the information was carried out by triangulating the perspective of the informants. The perception from the different actors about the coexistence in the school is positive in general, students relate to each other mainly in informal subgroups whose social relationships are strong and generally stable, while the way these subgroups relate with others decisively influences the perception of school coexistence.
