Abstract

The world population these days faces a great crisis that obligates us to question the economic and social model that rules us: the decisions taken in the last 200 years are collecting the price to our planet. The outcomings in terms of contamination and inequality are the sub-product of what we are determined to define as progress. In the last decade's resources of all kinds have been destined to discuss these two major topics, nevertheless, as years pass by, is evident that the conditions worsen. The climate crisis is eminent and invites us to think about the impact of the policies up today, what positive effects have had its applicability in developing countries and thus more vulnerable to the effect of climate change. Before the overwhelming scientific evidence have been established international agreements as well as different voluntary cooperation mechanism as legally binding. However, the reality is that the economic interest is put before through diverse arguments to stop the actions needed to fight the climate crisis in an effective manner.
