The objective of this essay is to analyze the conflict resolution approaches implemented in a private university-level educational institution located in an urban area of Pachuca, Hidalgo-México, identify their main problems, and propose an alternative solution. The proposed solution, known as Ethical Alternative Mediation of Solutions (MAÉS), was tested throughout 2024 and showed results by the end of the year. The methodology employed combines the clinical method and applied sociology, along with a critical and creative use of theoretical frameworks. The hypothesis suggests that current solutions are based on an institutional selectivity process, primarily focused on sanctions, which itself becomes an additional source of conflict. While MAÉS does not claim to be a definitive solution, it is presented as a dynamic process requiring ongoing evaluations to address its own challenges. The ultimate goal is twofold: to study conflict resolution methods in a university-level school context and to propose a different sociological approach that transcends theoretical erudition toward transformative practice.
