Abstract

This paper addresses the lifestyle of elderly people and its relationship with public policies, family relationships, and health. Using an ethnographic approach, it focuses on a group of elderly individuals in Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México. The aim is to make visible the connections between aging and other social issues. Specifically, it examines the matters of residence, economic income, and health from both institutional and subjective perspectives.
