Critical pedagogy and current education

It tries to show some implicit assumptions in the current pedagogy. It is also shown that these lead to a dehumanizing conception of education. In order to prove this, the theories of the critical pedagogy of certain thinkers such as Bourdieu, Bernstein, Apple and Giroux are reviewed. These authors provide the necessary tools to criticize a type of contemporary education in our society. It has been found that this education enthrones domination, inequality and authoritarianism. Finally, alternative solutions are provided to alleviate this educational crisis.
