Abstract

In this paper, we present some of the results of the analysis carried out in our research paper, within the framework of the pedagogical practices of the Degree in Mathematics and Physics of the Faculty of Education of the University of Antioquia. In the investigation, we designed a Learning Environment, based on the encounter of students (of high school) with culturally codified ways of thinking mathematically about Rational numbers. We analyze the actions that mobilize mathematical practices, emerging from the Mathematical Activity of students, based on the interaction and use of mathematical instruments and procedures. The results offer an understanding of learning as a transformation of practices from the individual-society encounter.
