Through female writings and literary fragments, this article seeks to preserve their voices and offer other possibilities of analysis. Charity has been historically studied through two institutional processes in Antioquia’s region, regarding the development of the female character in the obedience of catholic principles dictated by the Church. The first one lies on the abundance of women-led charitable associations and organizations. The second one involves the production of a female character of regional identity that beyond the usual institutional development, is embedded in the everyday life of women; allowing the reinforcement of their inner life and assigned mission, used as a way to face existence.
